DESCRIPTION:at 3pm Sunday 23rd April there will be a national test of the Emergency Alerts service. Alerts will be sent to all comptabile mobile phones within an area of risk. If you get an emergency alert on your phone you will hear a loud siren-like sound and a message will appear on the screen to tell you about the emergency and how to respond. You can check if the alert is genuine by checking at gov.uk/alert.
